The Balsillie School of International Affairs offers warm congratulations to Associate Professor Jenna Hennebry, who took over the leadership role of Laurier’s School of International Policy and Governance (SIPG), which is housed at the BSIA, effective July 1. Dr. Hennebry’s research focuses on international migration and mobility, with a specialization in labour migration in Canada and Spain, and is the co-founder of the International Migration Research Centre, also housed at the BSIA. She has been actively involved with the BSIA and its students for many years, and is currently a member of the BSIA’s Research Committee.

The BSIA wishes to thank Associate Professor Alistair Edgar, who has lead SIPG for the last three years, and who has been a member of the BSIA Board during the same period. Dr. Edgar is a pleasure to work with, and we hope he will keep close ties with the BSIA as he returns to Laurier’s Political Science department.
